Boutique Hotel Weddings

The Isle of Skye does not have a shortage of hotels in which to host your wedding, but if you are looking for something a little more boutique, contemporary and exclusive, look no further than Duisdale Hotel.

Located on the Sleat peninsula – also known as the Garden of Skye because it is much more green and lush than the north of the island – Duisdale is a 30 minute drive from the Skye Bridge and is within easy access of venues such as Eilean Donan Castle or many of the local churches.

For those who want to have everything at one venue, Duisdale hotel also has the requisite permission to host weddings, which can be held either in the beautiful gardens, overlooking the Knoydart peninsula, or inside in the beautiful conseratory.

Anne Gracie and Kenneth Gunn, who also own nearby Toravaig House, bought Duisdale in April 2007 and since then have completely refurbished the hotel into a chic, contemporary accommodation with an excellent standard of cuisine.

Duisdale has just announced the appointment of Michelin starred chef Graham Campbell, previously of Balachulish House, who will be joining the award winning Duisdale team later in the spring.

Other highlights include a 10 person hydropool, which will be installed in the garden in early spring, perfect for relaxing in ahead of the big day and daily sailing on Anne and Ken’s yacht, Solas na Mara, with a champagne lunch on board.

Duisdale can accommodate a wedding banquet for up to 60 guests and sleeps up to 36 people, with additional bedrooms available at nearby Toravaig House .
