I am very excited to announce that I have been shortlisted for the Scottish Wedding Vows Awards in the photographer category. The Vows Awards represent consistent excellent customer service. I am told the photographer category is one of the most hotly contested so I am very chuffed to be included in the shortlist, which contains seven other well-known and talented photographers. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on 9th November so fingers crossed! Much thanks to all the brides who voted for me – it’s been a pleasure meeting you this year and photographing your special days.

- If you're a bride looking at this blog, the decision who to choose for your photographer is quite possibly one of the most important you'll make; second only to choosing your dress. I've watched Lynne's style develop over the last few years, and if you're the kind of person who requires a photographer to capture those split second moments of intense and wondrous emotions that only a wedding day can generate, then congratulations; you've just found her. I suspect that one of the reasons she has been nominated for the prestigious VOWS awards, is that her clients have recognised her uncanny and unerring ability to both capture and help create those moments the bride & groom cherish most in their day. Wedding Photography | Bita & Nimo | Duisdale Hotel, Isle of Skye
Yesterday I photographed the very intimate wedding of Bita and Nimo – childhood sweethearts from Iran who found each other after years apart – a real love story! They chose to marry at Duisdale Hotel in Sleat on the Isle of Skye and afterwards we took a trip around the area to take some location shots of the happy couple. Bita looked beautiful in her dress and her handsome husband was beaming from ear to ear all day. The couple live and work in Edinburgh, which Bita is finding a bit colder than Paris – and I am sure they will be back to Skye to celebrate their anniversaries in years to come. Vow Renewal | Janice & Joe | Eilean Donan Castle
This week I photographed the vow renewal of Janice and Joe from New Jersey. They married 30 years ago and came to Eilean Donan Castle with their two sons, Mark and Andrew and Mark’s wife Lauren and Andrew’s girlfriend Katherine. Janice came to Kyle of Lochalsh thirty five years ago and fell in love with the castle; ever the romantic, Joe arranged for her to return to renew their vows. The family stayed at Duisdale Hotel on Skye and after a week in London, Janice and Joe are sailing back to the USA on the Queen Mary. Here are a few of the images taken on their special day.
